1 Year & 31 Weeks Married | Disneyland and Mother’s Day pt. 1

The two biggest highlights of this past week were our Disneyland trip with Cindy’s sister and, of course, Mother’s Day!

A couple of months ago, Cindy’s sister received a couple of free tickets, from work, to Disneyland. Cindy LOVES Disneyland, but Jake doesn’t really like the idea of paying an arm and a leg just to experience non-roller coaster rides. So we were really happy that Cindy’s sister offered to take us with her. We chose to go to California Adventure, since neither Jake nor Cindy’s sister had been in a long time.

California Adventure seems like a much more manageable park. We were able to go on most of the rides (or at least the ones we wanted to go on). The line for the “Radiator Springs Racers” was already insanely long when we got there, so we all went single rider. We totally recommend doing that for anyone who isn’t going with kids. We basically walked right up to the front of the line!

Anyways, we had a really great time!

For Mother’s Day this year, we spent the day of with Cindy’s family. We will be celebrating with Jake’s family the next weekend.

For Cindy’s mom, we spent some quality time with her doing a hike up to Pumpkin Rock. We took a few photos. And then Cindy and her sister chatted with their mom while Jake was off to the side trying to catch lizards.

In the evening, Cindy’s dad joined us, and we all went out to dinner at this hot pot restaurant. It was delicious! After dinner, we capped the night off with some boba. Yum!

And that’s our week! We hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
