We say this every year, but the LA Marathon feels like its own holiday here in Los Angeles.
Since we’ll be moving this summer, this was our last LA Marathon (until we return)!
We went to our usual spot at Federal/Wilshire bright and early to cheer on the elite runners. It’s always so exciting to see the pace car drive by followed by a motorcade of police escorting the frontrunners. This year, we stayed for awhile afterward to cheer on our friend who was running it this year.
Having run the marathon a couple years ago, we’ve experienced the value of spectators cheering you on. You really cling to that morale boost as you push on through each mile! And we feel so special to have been able to participate in this way for the last several years.
