What a busy week of travel we had!

We started the week off with a trip to Palm Desert for a family reunion with Cindy’s extended family. Then, right after, we drove up to Pismo Beach for a birthday celebration trip with Jake’s immediate family.

Baby R did such a great job with all the driving! (by a great job we mean better than we expected but it was still pretty hard) Car rides are a little easier than plane travel because we know Baby R will at least nap in the car. It seems the key to our successful road tripping was timing the drives to line up with nap time and taking lots of breaks. The hardest drive was going from Palm Desert to Pismo Beach. What would normally take 5 hours took us almost 7!

The trips were pretty exhausting, but our hearts are so full from all the time spent with family. We feel so grateful to have so much family around and blessed to have so many gatherings.
