This first quarter of grad school has been tough for Jake. He keeps saying it has been one of the hardest things he has ever experienced. We’ll admit, we weren’t sure if he was going to make it to the end of this quarter, but he did! One quarter down, 4 years and 2 more quarters to go! Now, he’s relaxing and working on his website Intrepid Insight.

For Jake’s birthday, we, along with one of Jake’s best friends, took a falconry lesson. Falconry has been something Jake has always wanted to do and it has been something Cindy has never heard of. It was a pretty unique experience– flying the hawks and having them land on our arms! We even saw one of the hawks hunt down a bird and eat it. Now Jake can’t stop talking about catching his own hawk and becoming a falconer…

And that’s our week!
